Welcome to reading about reptiles at The Pet Place.  We are super excited about our reptile department, it is continuously growing and changing with so many exciting things to come!  With Reptiles we will discuss what livestock we have in store and also prepare you with product you may need due to seasonal change.  Our feature reptile this month is our Snakes.

Its an exciting time here with our hatchlings now in store.

We have Childrens Pythons, Stimsons Pythons and Blonde Spotted Pythons all available at the moment.  Reptiles have very different requirements to those of most traditional pets, so you will need to consider a range of things before making the commitment.  Come in store to discuss all of the reptile requirements you will need to provide and happy and healthy habitat.

FEATURE PRODUCT – THERMOSTATS

Thermostats are the heart of most reptile set ups and enclosures. Although it is possible to set up without one, most enclosures are better and safer if they incorporate a thermostat.  Not only do thermostats automatically monitor and regulate temperatures (arguably the most important aspect of reptile husbandry) they help protect against on of the most common causes of reptile fatality – overheating.

Heat is essential as it helps to maintain the reptile’s body temperature and is imperative for reptile digestion.
